The Meeker Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. An immediate opening exists for a qualified candidate. Meeker is a beautiful town in rural Northwest Colorado with a population of about 2,500. The area is know for our great hunting, fishing and other outdoor recreational sports.
In addition to a competitive salary starting at $51,000 to $60,000 annually depending on experience, plus overtime, the town offers some excellent benefits to include:

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- 21 years of age at the time of hire.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Colorado POST Certified, currently enrolled in a POST academy, or ability to obtain Provisional Certificate (for out of state certified peace officers).
- EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license, or the ability to obtain within 30 days.
- No felony charges or domestic violence in history.
The selection process may include completion of a basic written test, oral board interview, background investigation, integrity interview, polygraph exam, psychological exam, medical exam and a drug screen.
