The Town of Meeker Board of Trustees and Mayor serve as the Town's legislative body.  The Board sets policy, determines the Town's priorities and direction, adopts policies, resolutions, and ordinances, in accordance with the State Statutes and the Town's ordinances. 

The Board of Trustees is made up of one mayor and six trustees elected on a non-partisan basis, from the Town at large.  The Board of Trustees serve a four year term.  Terms are overlapping with three trustees running in each election.  If a Trustee resigns office during his/her term, the Board appoints a replacement until the next Municipal Election, at which time the seat is selected during an election. The Mayor serves a two year term.  The municipal election is held the first Tuesday of April in even numbered years. The Town Clerk administers the election.
