Meeker Classic Sheepdog
Championship Trials: Every September North America's top
dogs and handlers meet unforgiving terrain, high altitude and the West's
feistiest sheep in one of the nation's most prestigious sheep herding
competitions.
Smoking River Pow-wow:
The Utes called the White River “Smoking Earth River” for the
clouds of mist that rise from the water on cool mornings. In the late
1800's the Utes were removed from northwest Colorado. The Smoking River
Pow Wow brings them back to their ancestral homeland to honor their
culture, heritage and traditions. |
